I'm Lea Austen. I chose to use my maiden name (Lea Donahue) as my pen name. I am an author, photographer, and storyteller who believes that even the smallest moments can change a life.

Whether I'm writing about living with chronic illness, discovering the healing power of love, offering simple prayers for everyday life, or sharing stories of faith and hope, my desire is always the same: to encourage people to slow down, notice the beauty around them, and trust that God is at work in every season.

Being a professional photographer for over two decades and a new published writer are just a few of the many things I enjoy and spend time pursuing. I am also a yoga instructor, ballroom dancer, proud grandmother and dog/cat mom to four amazing animals.

My books are an invitation to breathe a little deeper, love a little more fully, and embrace life with courage, gratitude, and grace. I hope you'll find words here that make you feel seen, strengthen your faith, and remind you that even ordinary days can become extraordinary when viewed through the lens of God's love.
